How to Bypass Integrated Brake Controller of 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500HD

Question:

I have a 2007 2500HD new body style truck 4x4 with the integrated factory trailer brake controller. I would like to install an after market trailer brake controller and not use the factory controller. Is there and after market trailer brake controller that will work with my truck?

Hey Mike, I attached a help article that covers the entire process of installing a brake controller in a 2007 Chevy Silverado with an integrated brake controller.

Basically you will wire the P3 part # 90195 to the wire bundle that is under the dash near the brake pedal. I also attached a picture that shows where this is.

There are some connections that will need to be made at the rear of the vehicle and under the hood as well.
