Third Crossbar Solution for 2008 Chevy Tahoe

Question:

I have a 2008 Chevy Tahoe with factory roof rails and bars, and also yakima round bars that mount to the rails. Problem, the crossbars dont spread very far, and I have a 19 canoe/kayak. Is there a single roof rack cross bar that mounts over front driver/passenger seat roof so I would have 2 crossbars on the factory rack, and a third in front? Or some type of extension from the factory bar and sits on the roof in front? the roof is huge, but factory bars dont cover the entire roof.

Hey Brian, so we don't have a third crossbar option but I do have a somewhat similar option but it would require a front hitch like the Draw Tite part # 65052 installed on your 2008 Chevy Tahoe so you could use an upright hitch adapter like the Rhino Rack part # RTL002 which would give you an adjustable crossbar out in front of your Tahoe. You could also install this in your rear hitch too.
