Replacement Tire Option For a Trailer With 6.5-16 Tires
Question:
Hello. We have 6.50/16 tires on our trailer. Will 6.50 16.5/8 fit if we buy the rims too? Thank you!

The 6.5-16 tire size from what I can find is uncommon size that was only used in the 50's and 60's. This tire was 6.5" wide and 29.41" tall which fit on a 16" wheel. The 6.5x16.5-8 size you mention is much smaller at 6.6" wide but only 16.5" tall. The Goodyear Wrangler LT225/75R16 Off-Road Tire w 16" Liger Aluminum Wheel # LH42FR is going to be the closest size we have at 8.8" wide and 29.3" tall. This is a light truck tire which can be used on a trailer but you would have to make sure you have the clearance for a tire which is so much wider.
