Recommended Dimmable LED Light Strip For Under An RV Awning
Question:
I would like to add the led strip lights under my rv awning. Are any of the lights you sell dimmable? I’ve noticed some rv’s are too bright. Thanks Wes

Hi Wes,
Since you're wanting to be able dim the lights I recommend going with the Smart LED Light Strip w/ App and Wireless IR Remote Control # DIA86QR. This strip light has a 3M adhesive backing to easily mount to the wall of the trailer under the awning. You'll just want to wipe the area down with some rubbing alcohol prior to installing it so that no dirt or debris prevents it from adhering to the wall.
The strip comes in a 32' length and additional strips can be added for more length or you can cut it the strip(s) down at the designated cutoff points labeled on the strip. It comes with a remote as well as an app to control the light functions. The remote has 16 color options and different brightness levels and the app offers a color wheel so you can really fine tune the color and brightness to match your aesthetics.
It comes with wiring adapters to splice into 12v DC or 120v AC power sources so that you can easily get power to it. Personally, I'd drill a hole through the wall of the trailer and try to sneak it through the ceiling or walls and wire it into the DC distribution panel. I'd use some gasket maker to fill in the hole and prevent any water from leaking in. I've attached a short video below where Ryan will give you an overview of how these lights work and show them in use on one of our neighbor's boat.
