Recommended Replacement Leg Screws for the Rhino Rack 2500 Series Legs

Question:

I was putting together my rack last night for the first time and one of the leg screws or the square bolt maybe is stripped, so it will not tighten to the bar. 3 of them worked perfect but 1 will not tighten. Am I able to get a replacement? Also doesnt seem that screw comes out easily, is there a trick to removing it? I bought the 2500 series for cortex aero crossbars.

Sorry to hear about that Wendie, but we do have both screws # RRB154 & # RR89UB available for replacement for the Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRRLKVA.

There is no secret to getting the screw out, but since it's stripped it's going to be a lot harder. If you have enough of the head removed, you can try using a set of locking pliers around the head and back it out that way. I've actually had to do this a couple times, it's not fun, but it works.

I do not see the replacement for the square metal piece that the screw goes into, I think that may be the part that is stripped. I'm also surprised you are asking me to buy parts that came faulty. it was the M6 x 20mm socket head and that piece it screws into that didn't work. thanks, Wendie
