How To Lock Steering Wheel of Vehicle that is Towed on Tow Dolly
Question:
Im towing a 2018 Chevy Equinox on a dolly. The design of that vehicle doesnt have a locking steering wheel, so on turns, the tires want to turn on the plate straining the straps. Is there a way to lock the wheel in place to prevent this from happening?

Hey Dave great question. So some people will use the seat belt to lock the steering wheel. To do this wrap the seat belt around the steering wheel a few times and then buckle it and then pull the seat belt all the way out so that it's ratcheting and let it go and it will be locked to the steering wheel and hold it straight. You can pull on the steering wheel side of the seat belt to take out as much slack as possible so that it won't slip.
To undo this you would just unbuckle the seat belt.
