Wondering if the Blue Ox Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter - 21,000 lbs Item # BLU52XR is compatible with an over bed folding gooseneck ball. Thanks

Hey Samuel, the Blue Ox Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # BLU52XR is not compatible with the overbed style folding gooseneck balls. The overbed plate would prevent the base from making full contact with the bed of the truck. Blue Ox is very specific that the base must make full contact with the bed in order to use the adapter.
An adapter that will be compatible with the overbed folding gooseneck ball is the Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter # AM3100. This will work as long as you do not have a cushioned or air-ride pin box. You can either do this or you can replace the pin box on the camper with a goosebox.
