Brake Controller And Wiring Adapter For 2006 GMC Sierra With Tow Package And 7-Way

Question:

I need a brake controller for my 2006 GMC Sierra 2500 HD. Its the 6.6L duramax if that matters. It has the factory tow package with the 7 pin. Ill be towing a horse trailer. can you please recomend a controler box for me? Im looking for simple install, with all your different options, Im not sure what fits best for my needs. I appreciate your assistance.

For your 2006 GMC Sierra with the factory tow package and 7-way connector installed I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller, part # 90885, and Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter, part # 3015-P. Simply plug one end of the adapter into your brake controller and then plug the other end into the junction box beneath your vehicle's dashboard. The P2 can be used on trailers with electric or electric over hydraulic brakes.

I have included an installation video for this system on a 2006 GMC Sierra that would be very similar.
