Can HitchMate Boat Trailer Step Be Made to Fit a Larger 3" x 6" Trailer Frame

Question:

I am interested in the step, for access in and out of a boat. Problem is, the trailer is custom made and the the aluminum beam is 3inch X 6. Do you have on that would fit?

Hey Brian, thanks for reaching out!

I took a look at our boat trailer step inventory and while it doesn't look like any of them will be able to accommodate your larger 3" x 6" frame, you are still able to take the HitchMate Boat Trailer Step # HE4036 you were looking at and secure it directly to the frame either by drilling into your frame or having an experienced welder do the installation for you.

Drilling and welding aren't nearly as quick and easy as a bolt on installation, but these alternative methods will still give you the same result of being able to effortlessly reach into your boat without fear of your foot sliding on the trailer frame.
