Looking For Brackets Comparable To Ford OEM Inner Brackets

Question:

I am looking for brackets comparable to these for a 2023 model F250. The mounting points apparently changed from ‘22 to ‘23. I purchased a take-off underbed 5th wheel hitch kit from someone and they did not send the inner brackets. My truck does not have the inner brackets welded on from the factory. So I am stuck trying to find some that fit. I found Ford part numbers for them, but they are $300. Each! So that is not an option unfortunately. Can you tell me if you or sell inner frame brackets that work for the 2023 model F250? Thank you for your time. **the pictures included are from the Ford installation instructions. The Ford part numbers are also pictured.

I hate to say it Bart, but the bracket you are looking for is not something that we carry. We do offer a few gooseneck or fifth wheel hitch install kits which use similar brackets, such as the Reese Inner Frame Brackets # RP27FR that you were looking at. While the bracket may be designed to install in the same location, it will not be a bolt-on equivalent to the Ford OEM bracket. Possibly with some degree of modification it could be made to work, but that is not something we can really recommend doing. At this point though, modifying something, or purchasing the ford OEM part are the only options. It sucks to hear how much Ford is charging for the brackets, but in this day and age I can't say it is surprising.

Do you already have a fifth wheel hitch you are set on using? There may be other less expensive options for mounting it, depending on what you have. Let me know and I am happy to look into it. If it is a hitch made for the Ford OEM puck system, getting those inner brackets is going to be the only way to safely use it.
