How to Unlock Steering Wheel of a 1996 Chevy Tahoe to Flat Tow It
Question:
My owners manual does not address flat towing. I have purchased a base plate from you, but need instructions how to unlock steering, position of automatic? P? Key switch position, removing any fuses etc?

If you turn your key to the first position it should unlock the steering wheel with out energizing anything in your vehicle so you wouldn't have to pull any fuses.
You need to put everything in your driveline in neutral as well. Your 4WD transfer case and your gear selector as well.
You should be good to go after you do all of that. I attached an FAQ on flat towing for you to check out also.
