What Information is Needed to Upgrade 5th Wheel Equalizers, Shackles, Wet Bolts, and Add X-Factor

Question:

I am looking to upgrade the suspension on my 5th wheel with either CRE3000 or Equa-Flex equalizers, upgraded shackles with wet bolts and X-factor crossmembers. What information do you need from me to kit this up for me?

Thanks for reaching out, Terry!

If you could let me know the following I'll be able to get you moving in the right direction:

- How many axles you have and their weight capacity
- What your wheelbase is (distance between the centers of your wheels)
- Distances between the bolt hole centers on your equalizers
- Distance between the bolt hole centers on your shackles

Let me know this information and I'll be able to put a list of parts together for you!

Looks like I will just be getting equalizers, shackles and wet bolts. My undercarriage is significantly more robust than shown in your videos. My spring hangers are 1/4" steel, fully boxed on the outside of the hangers, 11" X 3" frame with a full crossmember at the centerline of the rear wheel. My 5th wheel is a 2007 Nuwa Hitchhiker II LS 32.5 FKSBG, Dual Dexter D60C Never-Lube axles, 33” spacing, 10,600 Lb. Empty weight, 13,500 Lb. max GVW Ryan from MORyde sent me some qualifications sheets for equalizers, to check for fit. I will want to get a new set of wet bolts for the spring hangers. Can I order 4 of those in addition to the shackle kit? Thanks for your help! Terry Stefanski

@TerryS To just replace your shackles and wet bolts I highly recommend using the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit which comes with 2-1/4" Shackles as kit # MR46ZR or 3-1/8" Shackles as kit # MR76ZR - you'll just have to confirm the length of your current shackles (center bolt hole to center bolt hole) and get the closest match. I really like the MORryde kit over other options because they come with the 4 extra bolts for your leaf springs, and the shackles are more robust than standard shackles so these will be more durable and last longer.
