Why Does The Redarc Universal Wiring Harness Use 14 Gauge Wire?
Question:
The install diagram shows the 12awg wire is required for the power and brake wire connections. Why are the Redarc plug pigtail wires 14awg wire for those connections? Is it OK to use 14awg wire for the connecting wires?

All of the Redarc Universal Wiring Harness like the # RED69FR use 14-gauge wire. It's just how they are made. It is fine to use 14-gauge wire for those connections. As long as you are using wire equal to, or greater is size then you will be fine.
