Will The Hopkins EasyLift Truck Bed Tailgate Lift Assist 74211 Fit A 2004 GMC Envoy

Question:

Has someone tried this on a 2004 GMC Envoy XUV? The original broke and I cant find a replacement. Its the Envoy with the tailgate that opens down or to the side so, Ill probably have to make some modifications.

To our knowledge the Hopkins EasyLift Truck Bed Tailgate Lift Assist # 74211 has not been test fitted on a 2004 GMC Envoy XUV. Technically the lift assist is not made to be custom fitted for any one vehicle, and there is a pretty long list of trucks that it will work with. I have included some dimensions below which you can reference. The GMC Envoy is not as common these days, so it is possible that it will work for your application, but the only way to know for sure is to get one and give it a try. Just keep in mind that we cannot accept a return if modifications are made to the product.
