If I factory reset my cts2 will if unmarry from my truck and let me hook it up to something else?

Hey Kyle,
In order to unmarry your CTS2 from the vehicle you'll have to go into the tune menu and look for 'return to stock' or 'backup'. This will walk you through the necessary steps to return your truck back to factory tune and unmarry the tuner from your vehicle. It's designed this way to help prevent theft since the unit is basically a brick for other vehicles while it's married to a different one.
