Recommended Replacement Shackles and Wet Bolts for a 2020 Grand Design Solitude 380FL

Question:

I’m looking for a suspension upgrade for my grand design 380 FL , I can’t afford the IS option. This past fall I was putting away the trailer and snapped a rear wet bolt from the hanger. The year is a 2020, I’m afraid if one goes others might. I intend to get the upgrade shackles and wet bolts, also looking for a new equalizer, not sure if I should replace the leaf springs, not sure which brand to go with. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated….!

Sorry about your troubles, I would be worried about the other ones failing too. To replace the shackles and wet bolts you will want to use the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit with either 2-1/4" Strap Kit item # MR46ZR or a 3-1/8" Strap Kit item # MR76ZR. You will need to measure the length of your current shackles and pick the kit closest to them.

As far as replacing your leaf springs and equalizers go there's no better time to do it if you're already replacing your shackles and wet bolts. You're already taking everything apart so replacing the leaf springs along with the other components makes sense. I would be happy to make a recommendation for parts but I would need to know what size springs you have and the dimensions of your current equalizer.

You will want to jack one side of your trailer up and measure your current leaf springs from center-to-center of the spring eyes with the weight off of your suspension. As far as the equalizer goes. I'll need to know the left to right center-to-center bolt hole spacing and then the distance between the top bolt hole to the center line of the bottom bolts.
