Troubleshooting A Thule Hitching Post Pro Bike Rack That Won't Slide Into The Trailer Hitch

What product doi use to lubricate the Thule hitch with? I live in Fla. and I can’t get the bike hitch bar to slide into the hitch.

Hi Pamela,

If you're having issues with the shank of your Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR you can lube the shank with some white lithium grease, like part # RM-747. This lubricates without allowing dirt/debris from sticking to it like other lubes will. I recommend really taking a look at the shank and the hitch to see if there's any obstructions that could be causing the issue. If you're using the 2" shank collar then I recommend making sure that the screw that holds it to the shank is fully tightened and not sticking out blocking the rack from entering the receiver tube.
