Recommended 5th Wheel Base Rail Kit For A 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500

I have a 2016 Chevy 2500 Duramax I want to use the Curt C16245 hitch non slider for my 5th wheel. What rail kit and base kit do I need for my truck please. Thanks

For a 2016 Chevy 2500 I recommend the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C16411-204. This custom fit base rail kit is designed to mount using the holes already in your frame so that you won't have to drill.

When installing the base rails you can use the hitch to help hold the back rail to the correct spacing for the feet on the hitch so that when you tighten the bolts down the hitch will fit easily. There's a tiny bit of play in the rails before they get tightened down and this can lead to slots being slightly off, making installing/removing the hitch hard. Having the hitch in while tightening them down will prevent this.
