Troubleshooting Prodigy P3 NC Error With EOH Brakes Following Installation
Question:
Installed a tekonsha prodigy P3 into 2020 GMC sierra with adapter plug into the stock wiring harness under the dashboard and the controller is reading NC to the trailer. The trailer is elec/hydraulic hydrastar 1600 psi to Kodiak disc brake 8k lbs. All of the connections on the truck side are “stock” plugs, in other words I didn’t install anything or wire to the battery it was all plugged into the integrated braking system already from the factory in the truck! If that makes sense! Thank you

It sounds like you don't have the correct brake type selected on your P3 # 90195. More than likely electric is what you currently have selected, so it isn't detecting the load from your non-existent brake magnets resulting in the NC error. Switching to Hydraulic will make the error go away. Hit your menu/options button and select Brake Type in the setup menu. Choose Hydraulic and then highlight Confirm and press the menu button again. The screen will show E for electric or H for hydraulic depending on what you have selected.
