Need Longer Shank for Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System

Question:

I own a Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control and the shank it came with is not a long enough . Do I need to buy a blue ox shank or can I buy a shank from a different manufacturer like the Reese Weight Dist Shank Code: RP63971 and still work fine on my Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control? Thanks for your help!

If your Blue Ox SwayPro weight distribution shank is not long enough for your application you can use a replacement shank from Blue Ox or another manufacturer such as Reese.

Please note that the shank supplied with SwayPro has a height adjustment range of 13-inches (a drop of 1-1/2-inches up through a rise of 11-1/2-inches) along with a shank length of 10-inches.

Reese Weight Distribution Shank # RP3215 offers a length of 11-inches and a height adjustment range from
5-3/4-inches of drop up to 11-1/2-inches of rise when used with the trunnion bars included in the SwayPro system. The Reese # RP63971 shank you referenced can also be used but note it can be used only to provide drop, not rise. It is 14-inches long.
