26 Inch Leaf Spring With at Least 3 Leaves For 3,200 lb Axles

Question:

Wanting to upgrade tandem axle boat trailer leaf springs. I currently have two singleinch leaf springs on each axle. I want to upgrade to at least a three leaf spring. Trailer label says GAWR 3206 lbs. Current springs are single spring, double eye,1.75 wide and 26 eye to eye as sitting in garage, still on trailer. Springs are 5/8 thick at center. U bolts are 5 long and axle is 2 3/8 diameter. What leaf spring kit would work for this application. Thank you, asked by: Wes S Kyle S from etrailer reccomended the e77sr. If I have a GAWR rating of 3206 lbs, wouldnt I need a spring that would be rated for at least 1603 lbs per spring to cover the 3206 lb weight per axle? I have two axles with two, single springs on each axle. Thanks, Wes S

You're 100% right, Wes. For axles with a 3,200 lb rating you would need higher rated leaf springs, and for 26 inch long springs we have both standard and dacromet leaf springs that will work. Dacromet are great because their coating gives them rust protection that's perfect for boat trailers, though I did want to give you the option for both. Each rated for 4,000 lb axles (so 2,000 lbs per spring):

- Dacromet: 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e48SR

- Standard: 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e22YR
