Tire Chains For A 2015 Ford Transit T350 Dually
Question:
I have a Ford Transit T350 dually with four tires on the rear drive axle. Would I be able to use 2 sets of these to chain up all four tires? I know that there are triple chains out there, but Ive read they are not easy to install, so thinking two sets like this may be better. Tire size is 195/75R16C.

We cannot recommend using a single tire chain like the Titan Chain # TC1138 (or any single tire chain) on all four rear tires of a dually. If you want chains on all four rear tires, you will need to use a dually tire chain such as the Pewag Dually Tire Chains # PWE4216SC which are made for the 195/75R16 tires.
As far as installation, the # TC1138 and the # PWE4216SC are both drive-over chains, so installation would be fairly similar. You will need to lay out the chains on the ground, drive on top of them and make your connections. So even if you could do it, installing 2 pairs of single tire chains would not necessarily be easier than installing a dually chain. Either way you are going to have to get down on the ground and make connections on the inside of the tire. The dually chains are all one piece, so there are less connections to be made. In my opinion, installing a dually chain would be easier and less time consuming than doing 2 pairs of single tire chains.
