Replacing The AC System Thermostat In A 2001 Holiday Rambler Endeavor

Question:

I need to know if an analog dometic duotherm heart/ac/ heart pump thermostat will work in my 01 holiday rambler endeavor. I have no idea what it used to be before my ex replaced the digital and then busted it with a hammer. Ugh. I need HEAT!

Hi Nadine,

When it comes to RV air conditioner systems you'll typically need to match the brand of the system when looking for a replacement thermostat. Some systems are simple enough that a generic thermostat can still communicate with the controller for the system but it's very case by case that it will work. Going this route you'd need to know the functions of the wires that are there for the thermostat. If they match the Dometic thermostat you have you could use it.

If you don't know the functions then you'd want to remove the cover of the air distribution box and look for the serial/model number on the controller to determine the system that you have and reach out to the manufacturer to determine the correct replacement thermostat.
