Troubleshooting Atwood Water Heater Not Shutting Off

My Atwood hot water heater will not shut down should I replace the thermostat and see what happens

You may need to replace your Atwood water heater thermostat, but I also recommend checking for leaks first. If you don't see any leaks in the heater then the thermostat will need to be replaced.
You'll have a hard time finding a replacement anything for Atwood water heaters since they've been discontinued for a while now. If you can't find one elsewhere then I recommend replacing the water heater altogether. This isn't as cost-effective but it may end up being your only option, and if you end up needing to go this route I recommend checking out the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR98SR which is a gas application with an auto pilot and it comes with a standard 16" x 16" door.
