The two parts you referenced, Reese Quick-Install Custom 5th Wheel Base Rails # RP56001-53 and Reese Sliding Hitch # RP30075, are indeed compatible with one another. The Quick-Install brackets are a correct fit for your 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with 6-1/2-foot bed.

Sliding hitches are one solution for 5th wheel towing with short-bed trucks like yours to enable low-speed turns. Another option is a replacement pin box, one of the Sidewinder types. Sidewinders replace the standard fixed pin boxes typically installed on 5th wheel trailers and operate by moving the pivot point 22-inches further to the rear. They are used with a wedge that holds the king pin, preventing it from pivoting in the hitch, while allowing the trailer to instead pivot at the Sidewinder. This gives you 22-inches more turning clearance at all times, without the need to get out of the truck to release the slider for your turn and then lock it back up for normal speed driving.

I have linked an article on Sidewinders that includes an easy to use cross reference for the most popular fixed pin boxes. If you know your pin box brand and part number you can use this cross reference to see if there is a Sidewinder pix box available as a bolt-on replacement. There may even be an air-cushioned Sidewinder available for your trailer; these deliver the ultimate in ride quality.

Also for your reference I have linked an article with 5th wheel hitch installation tips.
