2-Inch Hitch Cargo Carrier Option for Transporting Dirt Bike and ATVs

Question:

Hello~ I am looking for a cargo rack for a 2inch receiver hitch. I would like it to work for a dirt bike as well as possibly two very small atvs obviously not at the same time... but do you know if any of the cargo racks would work for a dirt bike? Im concerned that they arent one piece- do you have any cargo racks that are one piece? Whats your advice? Thanks in advance!

Cargo carriers intended for motorcycle transport are indeed available but these specialized carriers would not be suitable for use with ATVs. Likewise the platform cargo carriers that might be able to handle the weight of your two very small ATVs, such as # 63153, may not be ideal for use with the 2-wheeled dirt bike. Their requirements in terms of how they need to be secured will differ and no one single item will do an ideal job with both.

The weight of even a smaller dirt bike plus the weight of the carrier that can handle it when added together could be at or above your hitch capacity. Since I do not know what vehicle you have your first step is a check of the hitch tongue weight rating (indicated on the hitch safety sticker) and a check of your owners manual for the vehicle's weight capacity for hitch-mount items. 2-inch hitches have widely-varying weight capacities as do the vehicle to which they attach. You will want to know the hitch's and vehicle's capacities, as well as the weights of the dirt bike and ATVs before proceeding.

If you can tell me the year/make/model/version of your vehicle, hitch tongue weight capacity and the weights of the three off-road vehicles I can better evaluate your safest options.
