Trunk Mount Bike Rack for a 2011 Lexus RX 450h with Rear Spoiler

Question:

we have a 2011 lexus 450h that has a spoiler attached to the hatch back. I assume the straps go over the spoiler? It would seem that this would damage or loosen the spoiler...can you clarify for me?

You are correct, you would not want to put weight on the spoiler on your 2011 Lexus RX 450h. But there is a trunk mount rack that you can use that will not be a problem for the spoiler.

Take a look at the Hollywood Racks Over-The-Top rack # HRF2. This rack has an additional upper arm piece that moves the top straps up and over the spoiler so no weight is put on it. I have linked a video review of this rack for you.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical mens bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # HRBA-PRO. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wifes bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my sons bike at all.
