Troubleshooting MORryde StepAbove RV Step that Is Not Latching Tightly

Question:

We just bought a 5th wheel with the Morryde folding 4 steps. It has the left side step latch blue pull handle. I noticed that the steps are not firmly held when lock in position to close the door. I am afraid the steps will bounce against the door when traveling. Is there something I can do to prevent this? I was thinking I could get another step latch, flip it over, create a hole for the latch then bolt it in place as the left side is. I have heard of a center handle that would unlatch both sides with a twist. Is this possible? I just don’t want my new trailer to have the door beat up causing me to replace the door. Appreciate any help with this.

The latch that you have on your current StepAbove could need to be adjusted so that it secures it tighter to your doorway. I attached a picture that I took from the instructions that shows how to make the adjustment. Try that and the movement should go away.
