Wiring In A MobileMule 5500 Mobile DVR System

Question:

How do you turn the DVR on. I hooked power to the cord supplied, but it will not turn on. I checked for power at inline fuse and there is power there. Not sure if yellow accessories line needs hooked up. And where is the fifth camera connection? I only have four.

The yellow wire of the wire harness included with your MobileMule 5500 Mobile DVR # MobileMule5500 will need to be spliced into an ignition-switched fuse in order to power the unit when the vehicle is running and prevent battery drain when the vehicle isn't running. The manufacturer has videos that show how to setup and program the system and in the initial setup video they show both the red and yellow wire need 12v power in order to turn on.

If you look in the fuse block you'll just need to find a fuse that only receives power when the engine is running and then you can use a fuse tap to share power with the DVR.

The fifth camera connection is for an "IP Camera" which is basically another version of a Wifi or Bluetooth camera that wouldn't physically connect to the DVR. I'll send you a link separately to the setup videos so that you can see exactly how to set this system up and get out on the road.
