Can A 2019 Ford Ranger Safely Tow A 2023 Lance 1995 Travel Trailer
Question:
We just purchased a 2023 Lance 1995 travel travel. The GVWR is 7000. We have a ford ranger lariat tremor that tows 7500. We r concerned that the ranger won’t have enough power on a long trip. When driving the 1995 Lance back from the RV dealership it was bumpier than we hoped. We had a truck stabilizing system added and break system. Would a ford 150 be better for towing? We want to make sure that we will be safe and the ford Ranger is sufficient to tow. Should we add leaf springs to the truck for a smoother ride if we don’t get a ford 150?

Being so close to the maximum towing capacity of the Ranger can put a big strain on it and throw the truck around. An F-150 will usually have a higher towing capacity and weighs more so it's harder for a trailer to push the truck around like you were experiencing. Adding in suspension enhancement and/or using a weight distribution hitch can help stabilize the tow vehicle and provide better handling while towing the trailer. Adding in a transmission cooler can also help minimize wear and tear on your transmission as you tow.
If you could tell me what you've installed on your Ranger already and if you're using a weight distribution hitch I'd be happy to look into more options to help make your towing experience more comfortable.
