Does Ground Wire of ETBC7 Kit Need Lock Washer When Attached
Question:
Hi I have a 2017 Ford expedition LT and bought the trailer brake control and the 7 pin harness. Does the ground stud need a lock washer? Does the factory install any wiring for 7 pin conversion or does the wiring need to be spliced? Thanks

Sounds like you are asking if the ground wire of the 7-way that comes with the # ETBC7 requires a lock washer when attached to your vehicle and the answer to that would be no. Using this to install a brake controller does require wiring depending on what circuits you need active. If you need the 12 volt accessory circuit active you'd need to run the wire up to your vehicle battery. If you need the reverse light circuit you'd need to tap into the reverse light circuit.
The brake output circuit runs to the blue wire of your brake controller.
