Towing a 5th Wheel Trailer with Gooseneck Trailer Hitch in 2008 Ford F-350 with 9 Foot Flat Bed
Question:
2008 Ford F350 custom 9 ft flatbed....we want to buy a 5th wheel camper but need to know if there is an option for the clearance necessary for this type of 1 ton truck. Can you please make recommendations? Thank you in advance.

I am guessing that the gooseneck ball on your 2008 Ford F-350 flatbed is recessed into the bed. The Reese Goose Box, # RP94716-61301, is not going to provide any extra length to compensate for the longer bed on your truck.
The Ranch Hitch with offset, # AM3139, may be just what you need. But you will need a 6 inch diameter or square opening around the gooseneck ball to allow the coupler on the adapter to fit without interference.
The offset will move the trailer back 8 inches and should be enough to avoid hitting the trailer against the back side of the truck.
