Installing TowReady T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118303 in 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

Question:

I took out the driver side tail light to look at wiring, and there was a white wire with a circle mount. Do I grounded it to frame. My trailer right light will come on As blink, but hit brakes and it goes out. So I did a simple check with a bulb and put ground to ground and check power Brown wire, and bulb stayed on every I had my lights. Then I checked the green wire. Right blinker As out works fineand hit breaks it works. But even I go to left side out yellow wire nothing happens. No light, no blinker. WHAT DO I DO TOO FIX THIS!

The 4-pole trailer wiring harness you referenced, TowReady T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118303, is a correct fit for your 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. This plug-in harness requires no cutting or splicing of wires since it uses T-connectors that plug in inline with the wiring to your Pacifica tail lights.

If there is a white wire with a ring terminal secured to the vehicle's metalwork behind the driver-side tail light this should remain in place. Often white wires with ring terminals are grounds. If this wire is not connected it may be a ground that has come loose. Try to locate the original location where it attached and re-secure it. If it is a ground for the lighting system then it being loose or disconnected could be causing the problems.

The rest of the harness installation consists of inserting the three T-connectors into the wiring behind both tail light assemblies and installing the included 20-amp fuse in position 10 inside the power distribution box under the hood. The linked photo shows this fuse location.

I have also linked you to a video showing this harness being installed in a 2005 Pacifica.
