For your 3/4 ton Dodge you will need the Fold-Down Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Installation Kit - Dodge Ram Trucks, item # 8339-4435.

The limiting factor for towing a gooseneck trailer is usually the truck. You will need to find the gross combined vehicle weight rating for your truck (GCVWR) to determine if the equipment trailer and the loads you are hauling are within the capabilities of the vehicle. You also need to be sure to stay within the weight rating of the hitch.

The 6250 pound vertical load weight is the weight the trailer applies to the vehicle at the gooseneck ball, most people refer to this as tongue weight.

The Fold-Down Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, is very convenient and is always there when needed, no hunting around for the removable ball. Safety and durability are excellent as long as the weight ratings are adhered to.

You may also want to consider the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness with 7-Pole Plug # HM42137.
