Stromberg Carlson Electric Landing Gear Jack Recommendation for a 2003 Cherokee 295L 5th Wheel

Question:

I did the measurements earlier, and with the way the frame is built by the factory landing gear, the welds in the bulldog brackets will not fit inside or outside the cherokee welded mounts. Also, if you were to install the bulldogs in the exact same spot as the old brackets, they would not fit as the top of the old brackets just about touch the ceiling, so the motors on the bulldog would not fit. Is it then possible to just lower the brackets further down so they fit? More of the bracket would be sticking out underneath the camper, but maybe its not a big deal? Sorry if this is rambling, Im not sure how else to best describe it.

I think I have a better solution for you. I think the Stromberg Carlson Electric Landing Gear Set part # LG-1 would be a better match for your 2003 Cherokee 295L 5th Wheel trailer. If you check out this jack you will see that the amount of jack and motor that is above the top mounting bracket is considerably less than the # RP500708 that you referenced so it should work well for you as long as its 6,000 lb capacity would be adequate.
