Slip-On Towing Mirror Recommendation for 2002 Ford F-150 XL

Question:

I am looking for a pr of slip on mirrors for towing. I have a 2002 Ford F150 XL that has the contoured mirrors but do not have door mount as shown in pictures. More like a 2001 where mirror pivots on a stud. Which mirror would be best?

The 2001 and 2002 Ford F-150s are both part of the truck's 10th generation (1997 - 2003) and based on my online research both appear to come with the contoured-style mirrors. Based on your description of your mirrors it sounds like they may perhaps be optional or aftermarket; I was not able to find a pivoting type mirror offered as OEM equipment on your truck.

If you wish to submit a photo of your mirrors and provide dimensions I can check for a slip-on towing mirror.

It may be necessary to use a universal-fit type mirror such as one of those shown on the link provided. We have clip-on, door-mount and fender-mount types, all of which will extend your view when towing.
