Using Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO On A 2011 Jeep Wrangler With The Battery Disconnected

I am contimplating the purchase of a flat tow system for my Jeep wranger and researching options. one Item I am interested in is Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional Item # SM99251 My question relates to towing instruction for my jeep and how this system would work. Owners Manuela states that the negative terminal o the battery needs to be disconnected. Since this system relies on power from the battery how would it be able to stop the toad if became separated. no battery power from the jeep so no power to the brake controller..

The Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 wires directly to the vehicles battery. So even with the vehicle being disconnected from the battery, the DUO system will still have power to operate. The DUO system includes an emergency breakaway which will activate the brakes in the case of a separation.
