Replacement Equalizer for Desert Fox RV with Tandem Axle Trailer
Question:
I have 7k axles on my desert fox RV and the equalizers measure 7 1/8inch wide and 4inch tall on bolt centers, this is with 35inch axle spacing. Will I need to install longer center hangers to maintain current ride height? All the equalizers I have found are 7 3/4wide, do you sell a 7 1/8inch equalizer? My trailer is a 2006 with Dexter axles

We do not offer equalizers that measure 7-1/8 inches long and 4 inches tall, but we may have a solution for you. Based on your information, you can use the TruRyde 4 inch tall triangular equalizer # TREQ310. This equalizer measures 6-1/16 inches long and 4 inches tall.
You will want to measure the shackle straps you currently have. If you have shackle straps that measure 2-5/8 inches center to center you can use 1/2 inch longer shackle straps like part # TRSL313. These shackle straps coupled with the recommended equalizers should give you the ride height you currently have.
Just to be sure, I recommend you measure your current shackle strap, hole to hole, to determine their size. And from there go up 1/2 inch in a shackle strap.
I have included a link to a video on replacing shackle bolts.
