Is A Stop Light Switch Kit Needed To Flat Tow A 2021 Ram 1500

Hello, Im setting up my 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 not a classic to be flat towed. I already purchased material to use on the truck a while ago, just getting the truck ready for next year now. I have a universal stop light switch. Will I need it for my towed vehicle or would I need something different? Also would I need a fuse disconnect switch? The cold side of the brake light switch isn't useable on your 2021 Ram 1500 so you will need to install the Roadmaster Universal Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751000 in order to get the brake signal for the indicator light included with the Roadmaster Invisbrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700. There aren't any fuses that you'll need to disconnect so the only other thing you should need is a tow bar to go along with all the other components you purchased.

Since you went with a Roadmaster direct-connect baseplate I recommend the Roadmaster BlackHawk 2 All-Terrain Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-422. This tow bar has a 10,000lb capacity and channels on the arms to keep your tow bar wiring up off the ground.
