Troubleshooting A Cub Blind Spot Detection Tail Light Kit That's Not Detecting Vehicles

Question:

Good day. I have a 2017 Ram 1500 and I installed the CUB blind spot integrated tail light system CU22XR. It tests fine on start up 3 second tone, but it isnt working identifying vehicles in the blind spot area. I reset the module as recommended in the installation manual, but it didnt work either. I checked all connections were connected. I am looking for any troubleshooting recommendations. Other than buying another system and start replacing parts. That is an expensive option. I dont want to remove system since I had to cut hole in dash for installation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When testing the blind spot detection function of your Cub # CU22XR are you driving at speeds exceed 12mph or is the vehicle sitting and you're trying to test this function? if the vehicle isn't moving at speeds 12mph and up then the sensors will not activate. Other than just resetting the unit the only thing you can really do is make sure that are the connections are correct and fully in place. I recommend reaching out to Cub to see if maybe you just got a defective sensor and if they can send you a warranty replacement instead of repurchasing the entire kit again.
