Options For Replacing The Axle On A 5' x 8' Trailer
Question:
My 5x8 trailer axel needs to be replaced. The issue Im having is that the spring center location is at 61 on center which is not typical for a 5x8 trailer. In reality my trailer is more like 64x8ft. Are you able to supply a custom axel or is the only option to use the axle less option you sell?

We do sell individual spring seats like part # TRSS300 which is for a 3" round axle. If we can get you an axle with the correct hub face length, it may be possible to have the spring seats welded to the axle tube at 61". We do not offer any custom axles here, nor do we do any welding, so it would be up to you to have the spring seats attached in the correct location.
Aside from that, the Timbren axle less suspension is something that can be used for virtually any application. We would want to look at what kind of weight capacity you need, and what wheel bolt pattern you want to use. For example, the # A35RS545 is a popular option that has a 3,500 lb capacity and a 5 on 4-1/2" idler hub.
