Replacement 1,200LB Fastway e2 Trunnion Bars for 1,000LB Weight Distribution System

Question:

I drive my trailer at 60-65 mph. As fast as I consider a safe speed for towing. I have steering problems in the front steering when semi trucks or large box trucks pass me on the interstate. I dont see any trailer swaying from my rear view mirrors. I drive a F-150 offroad package, 3.5 L dual turbo, 13K tow capacity. Otherwise the setup seems ok. I have a Fastway e2 hitch with 1000 bars rectangular. The trailer is 27foot Intech OVR Navigate, 6000 lb dry, 7500 max trailer capacity, 900 lb dry tongue load from the factory. We are at or just over 1000 lbs 1000-1100. In your opinion, would 1200 lb bars help? Maybe go big and get1400 lbs if available? We are also considering ditching it and buying a ProPride 3P hitch witch is a expensive option or throwing the baby out with the bathwate option.

With the trunnion bars on the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-1000 having been overloaded there is a chance the bars could have bent which is causing your system to not distribute the weight on your axles correctly. You will likely see a great improvement by switching to the 1,200lb Bars # FA92-01-1299 since they will have the correct strength rating. I do recommend checking and adjusting the pitch on the head as per the installation instructions to ensure your hitch is properly setup. The 1,200lb bars are the largest offered for the e2 Trunnion system.

The ProPride 3P Weight Distribution Hitch # PR97QR is definitely an amazing hitch system. If money is not an issue it would be the best option to go with but I personally do not see the bang for the buck from the ProPride.
