Timbren System or a Weight Distribution System for Towing a 6,000 lb Trailer
Question:
Hello I have a travel trailer that weighs 6500 lbs and the tongue weight is around 625 lbs......can I use this kit and stop using the weight distributing bars that I normally use ? and does it damage the frame or any of the suspension components to haul for long periods of time....like 3 hour trips ?.....thanks

Adding a Timbren system like the part # TFRTT1502D definitely would help, but it would not be an adequate replacement for your weight distributions system. Your weight distribution system distributes the tongue weight of your trailer to your front axles as well which provides you with a much safer towing setup by improving braking and handling.
A Timbren system is mainly designed for vehicles with that are carrying a heavy load in the bed of their truck. For trailering applications a weight distribution system is hands-down the way to go.
I attached an FAQ article on weight distribution systems for you to check out also.
