Troubleshooting Trailer Brake Assembly Adjustment Wheel that Doesnt Change Braking
Question:
I have a 2016 two axle bumper pull trailer, which recently started having brake problems as in not working. Mainly with the foot brake. We have taken. them apart, all seems well they are original. now we cant seem to get one of them to back off far enough where it wont lock up and the other three will lock up with the controller but not the brake pedal. just really not sure about the one locking up no matter how far it is backed off. Thanks,

Something mechanical is wrong with the one assembly that won't back off far enough to allow the assembly to stop locking up. My guess is the adjuster isn't working or is broken and no matter how much you turn it the adjustment isn't changing. In situations like this is typically easiest to just replace the entire assembly. If it's a 10 inch assembly the part # AKEBRK-35-SA would be a great option to replace both the left and right hand assemblies at same time. It's recommended to do both at same time so you get even brake performance on both sides.
