12v Outlet And Charge Line Kit Needed For Flat Towing A 2014 Honda CR-V
Question:
I am installing the Blue Ox Patriot BLU37TR brake system in my 2014 Honda CR-V. The owners manual says to pull the ACC fuse, which shuts off both 12V power outlets. What power outlet and battery charge wiring do you recommend for my vehicle? Sincerely,

Expert Reply:
To power your Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR you'll just need the 12v outlet kit # RM-9332. This outlet can be wired to a powered fuse, but we always just splice on some extra wire and run it directly to the battery to avoid any issues. To keep your CR-V's battery charged while you tow you'll want to pick up the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25. This will wire to the battery and the 6-pole socket at the front of the vehicle. If your motorhome doesn't have a charge line ran to the 7-way already then you'll also want to pick up part # RM-156-75.
If you want to make disabling the fuses as easy as pressing a button then I recommend installing the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass # RM76511 as well.
