Diameter of Optronics # STL101RFMB GLOLight LED Stop/Turn/Taillight
Question:
Hello, I am trying to figure out if the 4inch diameter is measured from the red plastic lens or from the outside of the flange? I want to install these on my Jeep JK with Corner guards that have a 4inch diameter hole cut into the corner guard. Will the back of the light fit into the 4inch hole and still have room to use the flange to mount to the sheet metal? thanks for your time.

The 4 inch diameter listed is for the lens, while the entire diameter of the unit, including the mounting flange is 5-1/2 inches. The lamp is designed to fit in a 4-1/2 inch diameter hole. If installed in a 4 inch hole, the mounting flange would not be flush against the mounting surface. If you could enlarge the hole by 1/2 an inch, the lamp would work great for you.
All of the flush or grommet mounted 4 inch trailer lights we offer require a 4-1/2 inch hole.
