Is Flat Towing or Dolly Towing The More Economical Option?
Question:
Flat towing a car with 2023 Forest River Forester Classic 2441DS, Ford E450 V8. Factory hitch 7500 lb capacity. What equipment and accessories do I need? Is it more economical to buy a tow dolley I stead? Thank you.

Typically towing a car on a Dolly # DM9713093 is going to be the most economical option behind your Forest River Forester. The biggest cost savings is really the amount of labor that would go into installing all the parts needed for flat towing. With a dolly you are able to pull a large selection of vehicles and can more easily switch different vehicles when needed. With a flat tow setup if you switch vehicles you will need to have all new parts installed or have to remove the parts and get reinstallation kits for the next vehicle. If you can tell me what vehicle you have to tow I can verify it can be safely dolly towed or what it would take to prepare it for flat towing.
