Recommendation To Prevent Dump Trailer From Blowing Vehicle Charge Line Fuse
Question:
Yes Im looking for a product to rectify my problem I just bought a new dump trailer and every time I go to use the dump portion while its hooked to the vehicle it blows a fuse that leads to the breakaway if its not hooked up it does not blow the fuse Im guessing its searching for power through the vehicle charge wire is there a relay or a diode or resistor I can put on that line to keep it from searching for power or something else you recommend

The best route to go is installing a Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # RED96FR on your dump trailer. We have actually performed a similar installation on a dump trailer in our facility which I have linked for you at the bottom of the page. This will help prevent the fuse from blowing on your vehicle since it is trying to pull as much power as it can get from the batteries.
