How to Use Side Marker Lights With Turn Signals and Filter Out Brakes
Question:
I have an interesting question. I would like to use my side marker lights on my trailer as signal lights. I have dimmers that will flash the LEDS at different brightness. But I would like them to not come on with the brake lights. If I directly wire them into the brake/turn signal wire the lights will come on with the brake lights. Is there anyway to, be it a module or a way of wiring, to not have the lights flash. I have a 7 pin flat connector on the trailer. Thank you

Separating the turn signal from the brake can be accomplished with the # 118158. You will need to T-into the existing wire with this so it stays combined running back to your tail lights. Once you connect this to your existing wiring you can run the green right turn and yellow left turn wire to your running lights you want to blink with the turn signals. The red stop wire can be capped off.
