Can The Valterra Electric Waste Valve # E84-8 Replace A Manual Waste Valve
Question:
I have an 2014 Allegro Bus with manual Valterra waste valves and I am considering upgrading to electric valves. 1. Can I install the electric valves using the existing 3 inch plumbing? I.e. would the electric valves fit exactly in place of the existing manual valves? 2. Would a second control panel in the wet bay work with this system?

The Valterra EZ Valve Double Electric Waste Valves # E84-8 comes with two 3" hub fittings (hubs slip over 3" diameter pipe). That being said, If your pipes line up to fit the # E84-8 then I would just undo the bolts on the hub flanges of both the # E84-8 and your current setup to swap the electric unit in place without having to cut or glue anything. From outer edge of the one flange to the outer edge of the other flange is approximately 8-3/4". You can take a quick measurement of your current setup to see if you can just bolt this to the current flanges.
This comes with it's own switch plate that will allow you to activate both valves separately as well as reset their fuses so I highly recommend using it over wiring it to an existing control panel to prevent any communication issues.
